If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would ever get done.
Spare tire issue guys, you can just bring one and not take it on the trail. It is really rare to kill a tire so bad that you can't drive on it on the way out of the trail.
Just a side note, notice that I am not thrashing.......... not sure if that is good or bad yet.
A couple of hills, but nothing like the mountains I have to go over coming from the east.
Or a 140WHP Harley. That was a fun ride. Until the open desert.
My perspective is from running a heavy wrecker and hauling loaded trucks through that stretch.
I would call several sections of I-70 there, long steep hills. I have seen lots of wrecks and skid marks from people not realizing what it's like. I have spent plenty of time going 25 -45 mph uphill and down due to moving 110,000 to 150,000.
My .02 is to pay attention and you will be good.
There's a nasty section of narrow/steep highway between SLC and Moab, I was geared down and using the jake brake a lot coming down that mountain. The SLC guys or maybe it was Eric had a name for it, want to say it was devil something....? Going back would have been a climb for my buddies 5.3 so we decided to cut across Nevada on 50.

Lol. I was just admiring some the lists you guys have and thinking I was glad not to be in that club. Nothing like a shakedown in Moab.
That's one section, just west of Green River. And I would say to be careful out west of Richfield.
It's neat country, so some people get distracted, and don't see what they are getting into.
@skunked , I got a little entertainment out of falling off that hill, cuz the wrecker I had would come down it, hauling a loaded truck, faster than most could do on their own. Usually only touching the brakes 3-4 times. And then I knew where I could turn it loose, and pass others near the bottom with nice cool brakes!

Put some different rims and tires on, I put the ones with best tread up front to get better traction for those gnarly trails. Best thing is no more rubbing under full stuff!!!
Got the truck greased and found my clickin noise. It was a loose outer brake pad. A prybar and a 2 lb hammer made some adjustments to the backing of the pad...
Tomorrow I'll go get my limiting straps and install those and some bumpstops...
And fix more crap.
