Awesome Greg! Now where's the Daylight pics????

Also did you get the driverside tire clearance figured out? I don't recall if you had to cut the firewall there too or not.

There was no daylight at 11:45PM last night.... :haha:

.....though Saturday is supposed to be sunny and 74*. :deal:

Driver's side should end up being a mirror-image cut of what I did on the passenger side already. The good news is that based on where those cut lines were, it won't get anywhere near the steering column or brake pedal assembly. My floor-mounted hi-beam dimmer switch is a goner though.....

Wow!! That looks fantastic! I like the clearance reference with the 5 gallon pails. Some years ago I was behind a construction trailer that lost a 5 gallon bucket, as it tumbled in front of me I thought I had enough axle clearance to miss it. It must have stopped tumbling on an end just as I made contact, but worse, it must have been what was being used for a toilet on the job site. I spent the next hour power washing the underneath of that truck for my miscalculation......

Now thats a good story!

Im stopping in next summer Greg to have me pic taken under your truck!
Its just something I gotta do!

Looks amazing! Great work Greg. I wish I was that far! That clearance is insane, now I wish I had gne for the Portal Axles!!

Looking forward to the next update pictures. I might have to stop by in NH and look at this thing in person!

Frizz,

A NorCal reunion in Moab is LONG overdue brother!!! :waytogo:

My goal is the BlazerBash event in 2018. That gives everyone plenty of advance notice. Put a coin jar on the shelf with a "BB2018" label on it and start chucking spare change in it for fuel, beer and bacon!!!

Burt finally accepted my friend request on Facebook so maybe I'll go put a bug in his ear about this idea..... :woot:

Seriously, of course, your work is an inspiration to the rest of us. I might just make BB2018 too, though my rig will not remotely be so cool.

However, my first thought is how many soda cans is that? :haha:

I'm sure it's been mentioned before but why aren't you running an LS engine? With the level of engineering that's gone into the suspension, axles, steering, etc, it seems that an LQ9 would be a fitting choice.
