This thing is almost ready. It's quick and dirty but I'm thinking it'll work. Gonna make sure it clears everything before I weld what's left of some socket onto it and cut the notches into it. I need to fill the void in under the socket as well.

Not sure how you think that custom CNC tooling is a quick and dirty affair. In my world a quick and dirty solution would be a pipe wrench or an acetylene torch or a large hammer. :dunno:

Well you can see I rammed the drill into the I'd not once but twice and made that big divot on the top by drilling to far to part it off lol. I had to rush it though. Hoping to be done with it tomorrow. I also scored a plate for the hydroboost too...just need to pop some holes.

Is the metal in that socket able to be welded to the piece you made? I assume that socket isn't normal carbon steel.

That I don't know. A guy at my work said it's no biggie. I was going to take it to the welders at work since I'm a newb.

If it's a no go then I'll just mill the square into the piece itself. I just found the cut down socket some poor sap made lol. Sparks fly when you cut that crap.

What did I miss? Is this fancy stuff for the 3 speed Browning box or a midget coupler?
