This thing is almost ready. It's quick and dirty but I'm thinking it'll work. Gonna make sure it clears everything before I weld what's left of some socket onto it and cut the notches into it. I need to fill the void in under the socket as well.

Not sure how you think that custom CNC tooling is a quick and dirty affair. In my world a quick and dirty solution would be a pipe wrench or an acetylene torch or a large hammer.![]()
Is the metal in that socket able to be welded to the piece you made? I assume that socket isn't normal carbon steel.
You'll be able to weld the socket fine, been there done that before lol
What did I miss? Is this fancy stuff for the 3 speed Browning box or a midget coupler?
