Got a little bit of garage time this weekend. Tried to pull the stock gauge bezel to get at the gauge wiring and due to the cage location it wasnt coming out... but I tried anyway . Ended up braking the bezel and then broke down and decided it was time for the custom dash I have been putting off for a while now.

Start of the new dash. That rats nest of wires is going to be fun....

I have a piece of aluminum for the other side too, just have to figure out what to do for the glove box. Might just skip it and get a nice locking console instead.

Passenger side roughly in. Needs some paint, better fasteners and a tiny bit of trimming. Going to run some tonneau on snaps from the cage to the firewall to kinda tie it all together

New parts porn. Intake for vortec heads, tbi to carb adapter and some stage 8 locking header bolts. A vortec 5.7 long block is in the works.

Thanks. Its a street sign I swiped from my work so I am not sure but I would guess around .08" or .09"?

Mounted the headlight switch and ran a cable for the e brake release lever. Need to figure out some kind of handle for it to make it easier on my hand. Also picked up and mounted a smittybilt stereo console, then preceded to chop it up before doing anything . The cup holders and my shifter were going to have issues.

Hit the picknpull sale this weekend and got some doors for $30 each. Going to gut them and just use the skins over some square tube for half doors.

Yeah, I practically had to give away some perfect '73-75 doors when I first moved here to Reno.

Started some tube doors, .12 wall 1.5" square tube. Chopped the skins off the doors I picked up and cut them down. Should get the drivers finished up tomorrow.

Anyone have a engine hoist I can borrow? I can pay you in beer. I have a goodwrench vortec 350 long block on the way

Thanks! I am digging the simplicity of it, everything is right there in plain sight.

Got a door skin most of the way on there. I always forget how much I hate welding sheet metal. Still need to figure out the latch and the vent window but they will probably be put on hold for a bit. I want to do the new drive train so I can actually drive the thing. I have too many damn projects started on this thing
