all I get at the Napa, Oreillys, and another local store are typical lower flowing thermos....that's what all of their books call for. The local Cummins service says go to Napa.

What's the cummins part number? I can give you the contact of a cummins dealer down there that will help you.

Looking at the Cummins parts website I can't tell what is what??? it gives numbers but no pics or description to compare part to part with?

I got mine from Rocky Mountain Cummins here in CO, they shipped it to me. They might ship to you too.
Chris I think you got a VE engine right? from the parts listings I've gathered it is different from the 94-98 12v engines? But then the 94-98 part number isn't the same as what I've got either? does your thermo housing look like the one pictured above in the 2nd pic next to the gear housing cover?

I had a hell of a time finding the o rings for the thermostat housing. I'll see if I still have the part numbers.
yeah, I'm not getting the right seals for that either....they are all too small to actually seal against the lift bracket or the thermo housing?
What a PITA for just a simple thermostat?

found this diagram for the thermo...#7 & #9 looks like the ones I got presently from the engine.
Its through a Dodge parts site, but it gives no part #'s for them.

Dave, I am lookin at parts 21, 29, and 24 here.... (This is for a 97 Dodge, btw)

Thermostat- 5014568AA

Thermostat seal (24)-4761291

Thermostat seal (21)-4797255

LEt me know if these work, I may be able to get other numbers as well.

that is the best pic I've seen of it yet and is a great match for what I have...
I stopped at the local Dodge dealer this am and she has that same thermostat part # you have listed Brian. If I order it is a non returnable item and she said it comes with the seal (which one I don't know) and is ~$40.
Can you give me a link to that blowup or the part #'s for 25-26 on the diagram as well.

thanks brother.

I can do that when I get home, I'm en route to Maryland to get some tires

25- 4746700

I can't get a part number on 26. I am using the site I use at work and if its blocked off it usually means not available

thanks a bunch Brian...I'll check in with the Dodge dealer in the am!

No problem, I can look up a lot of stuff for that truck. Let me know if you need anything else.

just got some info from the Cummins forum on this from Genos....
