It appears I do NOT have a split case diff....that would have allowed me to use a drop in Detroit locker....as it is I'll have to order a new Detroit Soft Locker carrier to go with the 3.54's

Tru tracs are no longer made for a D70

Didn't the Dana 70 come with powerloc?

Not as far as the BOM says...STD diff 4.10 gears.
I assumed it was an open diff by the way it acted, am I missing something in the pic?

Thats not a power lock.

I know a guy though...
They are available new as well. I bought a series 4 case for my D44 a few months back

What I meant is that the Dana 70s in general probably came with the power lok (more so than the True Trac) therefore still be available.

And yes power lok is just as much as a locker. But do you really need a locker for a 2wd tow vehicle?

He might need one pulling off in a non paved parking lot... any 2wd benefits from a traction adder

The supporting cast....
Switching out the wasted1350 GM yoke for the 1410 Dodge unit.
The brake parts are in good shape, as are the spindle bearings.
The two cast spring bottom plates are broke...can't find any others so I'll try to weld these back together.
New U bolts will be in order too.
