The day after and I'm pretty impressed with the way the truck held up. The people behind me who saw it happen couldn't believe #1 - that I missed the other car, #2 that the truck was in 1 piece, #3 - that I walked away. Apparently it looked pretty bad when it happened. It must have bounced pretty high when it rolled because I landed on the wheels and there was an unbroken fence post sticking about a 18" straight up through the rear bumper.
The batteries were mounted in stock trays that I replaced last year.
I don't really have a use for a truggy and I don't have the metal skills for a vert conversion or to repair the body. Could probably rebuild it but I'm thinking I'll see what I can get out of the insurance or by parting it and using that to fund a build on my 72.
