I took off the PTO cover to flip it, to allow the fill port to be higher, as it was there was only a few ounces of gear lube in there with the port on the bottom. The gears were covered well with lube, even for not having been run in a year and a half. Found a bit of metal grit on the magnet, and glitter in the fluid, so I opened it up. A visual inspection revealed nothing...gears look good, shift fork, sliders, looked good, and the bearings were smooth in operation, so back together it went. I got the doubler installed yesterday, and need to finish the install of crossmember and front cradle supports, shifters, new auto shifter cable, driveshafts, etc. I put the fill port on Kerts covers up to get more lube in this time.
