My buddy with the built Scout 800A. He's SW of Middleville just a hair. NE of Gun Lake, although I dunno, he might be doing his work by Gun Lake now. At any rate, I'll give him a call and see if he's looking for more work.

He's the one doing the work on Big Ugly and The Blazer. Great guy and very talented.

Interior cage? He built one for his Scout and I helped fit it last summer. Is pretty cool.

Is that at Gun Lake performance?

Nope. He's trying to start his own IH building business but does a zillion other things as well so it's not always his main gig.

Hey AJ, I think I will go with the S&W cage for now, just to get it going, and hopefully add to it in the future.
If you could, I would like a # for your bud, for my reference "library" of sources.

Thanks

For the record, I have the red devil head from the Number of the Beast Album on my left shoulder. Maiden is my favorite metal band, always has been, always will be. :saweet::saweet::saweet:

Well pictures work for me.....I see the one wire concept your talking about....as you mentioned all wires from the big lug on the starter solenoid come up to the remote solenoid now right?
I was searching while you posted up, ok what ya got for a solenoid?

hmmmmm, thats a little bit misleading of an ad..... thats gotta be the inrush amp rating... for $20... it's probably a 50 amp or 85...... i'll dig up another choice for ya.... I'm big on White Rodgers solenoids, real, real nice quality... airtex are decent.. cole-hersee in a pinch... i'll get back to ya...

and yes, all the other main starter lug wires go to the solenoid post that has the lead from the battery... the other big post just has the big wire that now feeds the starter..

that would be a great help to me Paul.....I just don't quite get electrical. In fact I know just enough to be dangerous:confused:

Went to the local wander through junkyard....I was looking for a hydroboost system and found this 82 Diesel Blazer! I plan on getting this setup (20$) with the pedal pushrod, and all the hoses. I will use my serp setup Power Steering pump, and get a 80+ 2WD steering box for the use of Oring lines.

Anything I'm missing here?

Random but did it have the air intake setup from the filter housing to the core support? Looking for all that.

I"m going back on Monday AJ....I can check....they had a 86' K20 Diesel too. that would have the same setup right?

Ought to.

I need everything between the core support and the air filter housing.

Ignore the comments I wrote on the one pic.

I'm kinda like the crazy old cat lady. When I see a beat up old Chevy truck, I want to take it home and nurse it back to health. I can't stand the thought they they are gonna be "put down".

I guess I'll just have to think of them as organ donors, whose tragic deaths allow others to live. *wipes tear from eye*

Let me console you...rust abounds on this truck, the floorboards and supports were rusted to the point of letting the cab rest on the trans bellhousing, the axles are standard 10bolt stuff, and the interior is completely torn up from varmits (maybe human first). It's just a matter of putting it out its misery.

Is a diesel radiator better than a SBC one, or comparible to a BBC radiator?
This truck does have a newer rad. in it.

Diesel radiators are BIG. How they compare to BBC ones I can't say but they are definitely better than the SBC ones.

bigger than sbc and bbc in width. get all the stuff that goes with it.

and does that have the fuel filter still on the firewall that uses a spin on filter ? if so can you grab it for me ?

If I recall it has a rectangular type filter on the pass firewall, I didn't look at it closely though. Is there a spin on type somewhere? have a pic of it?
I might see if I can buy the whole thing, and take what I need then take it back for scrap.

If it had the rectangular cartridge filter than it isn't what he's looking for.

Very early in the 6.2's life they had a small spin on filter instead of the cartridge. Some folks prefer them for easier changes. I dunno as I haven't done one yet.
