wheel opening looks awesome dave:waytogo:. I think widening the inners a little is the way to go. should be easy enough. just like a hotrod minitub.

I agree Rick, tubbing it would eliminate the rust areas at the tub/floor also.

My vote is spacers, but it is purely an aesthetic vote. I like it when the rear wheels are pretty much the same width as the fronts.

Plus aren't you pretty close to the frame?

Good grief Dave you are getting some great flex from those springs! Is that a front shock I see there, did I miss something?

I will take the wheelwell in about another inch, and yes that is a front shock you see.
Miss something?...no, I just put it in place to check for placement of mounting. A lot more to do on that, before I figure what I want.

That's lookin' good Dave!

Looks like you need more black marks.

Yeah, you should have left yours from the dually

I've been looking for some paint to do the rollcage in, and found what I think is a pretty good looking combo of paints to make a freshly rusted surface color. Hemi Orange and School Bus Yellow...

Also got the pass side fender well out,

Eric there is about 5-6" from the frame to the inner part of the fenderwell.
I will take about 1.5" out of the floor.

Like the angle Iron someone used to mount the new sheetmetal to?

Now I remember why I like to wear gloves while working:

I gotta be careful when my daughter is around, cuz she's hospital happy I think.

Its only a slice of flesh wound, but I bleed like a stuck pig.
I'll keep it wrapped up a couple days, and hopefully it'll grow back together....Neosporin=good stuff.
gotta remember to put the gloves back on.

Lookin good dave!!! You literally put your sweat and blood into this rig I like it!!! :thumb:

Last time I worked on my rig I cut and burned myself all at the same time. Makes for alot less blood all over the place :)

I really like your wheels:thumb:

They seem to be popular, I just hope they are not my achilles heel on the truck....small beads on them.

I dig it.. 2 fisted, wet on wet, rattle can action.. good times!

The color looks nice in the picture. It is pretty close to rust color and I've had more than my share of rust colored vehicles, so I am personally going to go with something different on my Blazer this time around.

I dig it too, just because of the names of the paints....Hemi Orange and School Bus Yellow....:thumb:

I know exactly what you mean there. I was thinking its already rusty all over, as you can see, but when I paint the body I thought it would be way different to paint it so it looked rusty from afar, but when you got close to it, you could see it was on purpose....So the body will be a main color of a lighter shade of Red Oxide primer (in a 2 stage urethane) then the tops of the roof and hood and fenders would be closer to what the cage is (again in urethane) then a clear coat on top of that.
