I got a couple tubes of white, I'll give it a shot after the blasting stuff.

Dave, just make sure to at least get some primer on the areas to be seamsealed before putting it down..

Thanks Paul, I got some Ryoken green:thumb: or some Silver Zinc, before anything else goes on.

Looks good dave! How do you like welding on the galvanized sheet metal?

Hold your breath!!

It sucks Kert....was trying to use up a partial sheet I had laying around...and I had a fan blowing with the door open.

That's good! Ventilation is important to be sure. Doesn't help make it weld any better though does it..

NO, it looks like the gas is off:rolleyes:
Unless you burn it longer and risk blowthrough.

After reading nbilby's thread:
http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthr...75#post2625044

and keeping budget minded, I too will be in need of at least a minimal type cage for my build, to get it off road safe. I would add to it in the future, but would like to get a 6-10 point cage in it to start with. I don't need a Ryoken cage right now, but would pursue adding more to it in the future.

.:haha::haha::haha:
WTF was I thinking:dunno:

Thats cool, it would be pretty funny to have a contradictory thread. "I only want to do this", or "I'll never do that" etc.

I think there is a thread titled I'll never do this to my K5????

never is a long time.

atta boy Jess, its just a shirt over the muscle anyway right?

well, lets just say they'll do the job nicely and leave it at that...got the other side done today:

These quarters are pure sh!t...whoever put em on hacked em pretty bad...this side had up to 1/2" of glass and plastic filler....I can possibly see new quarters in a future installment, hell maybe I'll back half it?

doo it :P

Thats one option, just not right now, its an evolutionary thing I think....I gotta pay my dues to get that far:D

While this is useless now, I have found switching to flux core makes galvanized weld better.

Still sucks

Good news, I'm done welding the galvanized....so no worries eh:waytogo:
