Finally got the cage finished and ready for paint, finished the deburring/sanding tonight and shot a coat of the infamous "Ryoken Green" Zinc primer. Also got some tabs mounted up for some interior lights and rear mounts for a fiberglass half top.

The tabs for the top:

The shifter console:

The seats in position, I'm liking the feel of this more and more, shifter should be here in the next day or two.

Did you eat green eggs and ham for breakfast?

It's getting closer, nice work!

Awesome Dave

Its coming together isn't it?

Looking forward to seeing it in person again

It will be quite the different animal by the time you see it again Eric, although you should recognize it

No but I blew green boogers last night, does that count for anything...:dunno:

Nice dave!! keep going at it

Very nice!

Seats look good in there.:pimp:

Thanks Jess, and Max. They are quite comfortable, and I think the shifter will be at a perfect height if I got their specs right. It should be right at a natural 90* position with my arm at my side, and easy to use with the shoulder harness' tightened down too.

I love that Ryoken has turned enough of us CK5ers to that primer to get it named after him in other posts!:haha:

Your set up is looking great zimmer :waytogo:.

So true though isn't it. I mean I was using a galvanized cold zinc primer in cans before this stuff. Thanks for the comps:waytogo:

Got the cage painted today, does it look like bare metal with fresh rust?

Great, the residue on the floor really looks like rust.

YOur right Rick, I don't have any brown right now, but I might grab a can and hit a few test patches to see.
The bumper is a vendor Item I bought from a CK5 member in Indiana a while back. Can't remember who made it though:dunno:

Awesome, I'll be headed up on the 30th Rick, stopping by and seeing Adam on the way.
Staying up until the 5th I think, then trying to make it up there with the Maiden in late Aug.

Not rusty enough!:D

Looks real good Zim. I like it lots!:thumb:

Yeah, its good for now, but if I get a can of Medium brown, I'll try that on a test piece too!

What do you think of the Red Oxide Primer w/ clear coat on top of it?

I think it gives it a raw, hard look to the finish.

I for one DIG the look of the primer on the side.:thumb:

Man that is a shwack of tube you got going on with that cage...Looks sweet though!

Thanks Max, I think it will definitely be different, maybe not too eye catching, but a rough, work in progress kinda thing.

I'll be sending the body to a friends shop for him to work on while I'm on vacation, I just don't see getting this thing done otherwise, I'm not quick at all with bodywork.
He'll be prepping the rear quarters, hood, and roof. I'm still working on the tailgate, and front fenders, and I focked one up already, so might look for another, seems like my buddy said he can get em for about 80$ each for me.
I'm making a body roll around dolly to load it on the trailer and take to his shop, then I can get the stuff finished on the frame and drivetrain. Still have to figure the front shock hoops, then touch up some frame spots where we welded to it, and such.
