I'll be meeting up with Dave in 45 minutes to an hour. Then we still have a hour and 15 minute drive to DIY shop. I decided just to lead Dave to the shop, after he's been on the road all day, I'd hate to try to give directions for all the back roads.

I hope Dave has company to help drive on the trip. With the break-neck pace of the last week he's got to be worn out.

Stomper hooked up with Dave as planned. All went really smoothly. Got to the shop.... had to been close to midnight. Made a few minor adjustments to his rig and put it back on the trailer.

My uncle Terry, Stomper, My oldest son Mick, Dave and I were there for the quick wrench session.

Dave was in his motel room by 3:15 a.m.

I'm headed for the pillow right now. Night all!

Shame on me for not keeping up with this thread...

Hell of a job Dave, I'll be praying for all ya'll to have a safe trip and a good time!:thumb::thumb:

<sigh> one day...<sigh>

watching you guys come from all over the country to hang together in moab is making me feel like such a lazy **** sitting here less than 3 hours away. :doah:
take lots of pics!

don't be shy posting "where is Dave now" updates. I'm sure I'm not the only one living vicariously through Dave's adventure right now. :waytogo:

I friggin' love Zim.....this guy is the embodiment of what CK5 means to me; he dreamt it, he built it....and he's driving it to Moab!!!!:thumb::bow:

For my first BlazerBash, I pulled did 21 straight days and nights of prep work to be ready to go. There is nothing like that delirious feeling of finally driving the truck under it's own power towards Moab. A lot of guys talk about doing it "someday", but my hat is off to the guys who sacrifice, work hard and make it happen!
