Iowa sucks, its trying to keep him here. I've been trying to leave for years and it always finds a way for me to stay:doah: The state probably sees a nice truck to eat up with rust.

Not sure Rick he didn't tell me, they got pulled over several times for seatbelts and stuff.

Might not be the best trip for Dave hence the short texts :doah:

I'm hoping they didn't get pulled over last night...:doah:

Sounds like the seat belt stuff was no problem for them. I believe his crewcab was supplied from the factory without seatbelts.

Nice try, I see water that has run from where the truck isn't parked and pooled slightly under the truck...

your pretty observant Rene', indeed the water was there in the parking lot...the pool under the truck isn't water though....BUT as it turned out we parked over a previously parked vehicles problems, and noticed it when returning from breakfast...JD noticed the puddle under the truck and my heart sank....NO not this truck too:doah:, turns out my trans pan was dry after all....Eric and Adam...nicely done on the adlib:waytogo:

I'm hoping they didn't get pulled over last night...:doah:
We had a state trooper or county mounty follow us on "9" to the MN border...seems he was checking the truck out, but he didn't pull us over. However today we got stopped a couple times in MN and IA both because no seats belts were seen. After they checked out the license/registration/DL they noticed that the truck isn't equipped with factory shoulder harness'
... "you can go now". One of the cops asked where we were coming from, and what the mileage was....9-9.5...thats gotta be expensive he says....ya think?

I believe everything built after 1972 had factory installed seat belts.

Martin

As mentioned above this truck wasn't equipped with shoulder belts but it does have lap belts for 6:thumb:

Good to see you made it back with no problems.

Now you need to slow down and rest awhile. :haha:
