Kert did you forget to add the purple accents on the rock rings?

Get back to the shop :D

I want so badly to build an 80s truck for my woman and paint it hot pink and purple!!! Total 80's awesomeness!!!! Too bad she would never drive one lol...

PYO!:D

You got it Max...the center is Kerts standard re-centering piece, the outer re-inforcement/rock ring is my design (well GM I guess), that Kert executed dam well I think...the smaller holes had to be made big enough to get a socket through to get to the nuts.

Some inspiration for you and me dave

Hydro assist is almost required. Every rig that struggled through here didn't have it.

I remember looking at that trail at bundy when I was there, I was thinking, that is NOT a trail I am taking my truck on, I would need a rig with a beater body and a cage. I didn't see anyone on that trail when I was there though. It seemed to be like you would need really thick driveshafts to go on that trail, some of the rock ledges I don't see how you wouldn't crush your driveshaft, unless it was a different trail there.

Check!

I think it's the hardest trail they have. I plan on running it after my shakedown run.

Sounds great Jess, I'm hoping to be ready by mid-late spring!

And Heath careful driving and crawling. I have a feeling I may have to pull cable to make it all the way through

I'd rather just floor it and go blasting up the largest steep sand/pebble hill at bundy than get stuck crawling in that boulder mess and turn my driveshaft into a pretzel on one of those monsters. :D

I guess I like living dangerously. Becareful heath you may chip your shinny paint with them pebbles :sign11:

What else do u need Dave? I know the bead locks and hydro assist but anything else?
I have to pull the doubler for a trans adapter leak, finish up a bunch of stuff that never got done before BB last year, winch it, tube doors (also Kerts), add a leaf or two to the back, redo some brake stuff, redo some skid plates for the tank and trans, try to do something with the dash and interior to make it a little more finished, do some better panel fitment, and finish off the fenders, throw a coat of paint on it, and redo some wiring.

yeah, looks like that is a possibility doesn't it.

That's why I ended up with .230 wall on the rear, and .100 on the front!

Yeah, I would too Heath, that's why I'm just throwing a coat of paint at the body....its hacked up as it is, don't want to spend a bunch of time on it....I'll just try to protect it with a coat of paint...

Pop got me a wrought Iron puzzle for Christmas...while the grandaughter has been here this weekend, I decided to mess around with it...I can remember doing these things a long time ago with much aggrevation until shown how to properly dis assemble it....

I played with it on and off most of last night, and today and finally got it.
the object was to remove the large ring by manipulating the pieces until they allow removal of the ring.

Here is a pic as it comes...

Here it is dis assembled:

Those are entertaining to watch people try for the first time. I also like the old chain/horseshoe/ring version. Or the bottle with the wooden ball and peg inside.

we have like 13 different versions of those in our restaurant the one that shes holding stumped me for an hour one day.. then someone informed me its missing a piece and cant be solved...

just have to think of it laying down, not hanging, and some sideways working of the triangles!
Did anyone notice the name of the puzzle????
I thought it pretty clever of my ole man!
