yeah, kinda sucks having to deal with that on a daily driver, pulled the front driveshaft and t/case shift control motor off, and manually put it in Hi range, but I think the tcase is stuck in 4wd. That at the least took the pressure off the front end now. At least I can drive it again, it's going to a local shop on Tues to see what codes can be picked, and some troubleshooting on the system. Hopefully it won't be too painful.
I think I'll take advantage of the record warmth we are having and work on BART...he's up in the garage without a heater, so time is ideal for that right now.

Forgot I took a picture of this Dave,

That was very cool of you Kert!...once again, it was an awesome trip all around (well maybe except for the long drives). I'm sure an open seat could happen again for the week at Silver lake!

I think you could sell a few of those frames, just let them cut their own glass...:haha::haha::haha:

If you get to making more, I need at least 2 more of em!

When I get myself dug out of the current mobbing, I'll be makin' a few more. Got a couple pics I want to hang up as well. Yeah, glass..... I don't do glass.:thumb:

started prepping some of the stuff I got from Kert...not sure if this has made its presence yet or not....a dually coatrack:

The fender emblem, sanded and rough edges smoothed out, and a shot of Ryoken Green...

The wheel face sanded and coated with a couple shots of not CARC, but RAPC (any guessed on that one?):

Then the Cat engine paint (Moeller)

what do you think of this combo....I wanted to have a contrasting color to highlight the cutouts on the rim strengthener/rock ring....Its a pattern similar to my 99's aluminum rims, each hole allows access to the studs to clamp the two halves together.

Ryoken Approved Primer Coat? :haha:

I like em... need a couple more yellow coats tho... the rims look sick... and I never conceived I'd say it, but you've made me start to like the green color as a topcoat! :haha: it really looked cool in the beautiful scenery of Moab...

I will need to do another touch up coat on front, and another coat or two to the rear...that was what I got before a small sprinkle started fockin' up my outside painting today...grab em quick and head for the shop!

I figured if CARC was Chemical Agent Resistant Coating, that RAPC would be Ryoken Agent Primer Coating....

I thought the same thing a while back about the green topcoat, but seems like its taken on an identity with that color, and I really like it with the cage colors.
My plan with the body, and the green that is on the wheels right now, is to get a Base color to match that primer, then a shot of Satin for the clearcoat.
A small stripe to perhaps tie in the wheels and/or the cage color down the side also. The tube doors I will do like the cage, with a clear over them due to the traffic usage they will see.

I like it Dave!!

I think you can do what ever you want on the Maiden and it would be cool!
It is kind of a icon on this sight.

For some reason i was imagining the insides painted gold color to go with the green but that looks pretty good

The yellow / green combo reminds me of John Deere.....

I'd have to see the whole paint scheme completed to be convinced.

I'm with greg. I think it may look better with the cage color, but it all looks the same with mud, dirt, and rock rash.

I would agree with cage color as opposed to the yellow, but I don't know how hard that is to replicate for Dave...

Gold....no I couldn't do Gold, well maybe some gold leaf lettering on the CC, but other than that...no gold.

Its actually Caterpillar Yellow, which I decided I had to have on the wheels about the time I ordered them from Kert. I'm just stuck on that color for the wheels I think. The color is maybe a little bright in those pics (at least on my comp) compared to reality.

The cage does look good I think with the green, but trying to get a decent pattern in that portion from the front would be a bitch I think. I do like the CAT yellow with that green too though.
Perhaps do the tube doors in the cage colors, then a CAT yellow stripe down the side about an inch wide.
But then the cage orange is about the same color as the IRON MAIDEN sticker I've got....decisions, decisions.

I think the CAT yellow is going to stay for the wheels, the body will be the RAPC green, but throw some ideas out there for the stripe to tie it together if ya want....something subtle though. I got my idea, but I don't do the PAINT program to good to put it in a pic.

Iconic... sure I think so, how could anyone see your rig and not say hey thats the Iron Maiden!

There is a few trucks on here that are very easy to recognize, yours being one of the most. :waytogo:

I think I might have to get some cat yellow for my wheels now

If you have a "Cat" hard-on the opposing color should be black, not green IMO. I like the wheels, just too close to JD colors which make it look like farm equipment in my eyes.
