The fact that it took me about 4 hours to do one wheel should give you a little idea of what prep was taken for painting....and thats just a rattle can finish so far.

Dave I think the wheels would stand out better if everything behind the outer ring was black, it would make the green stand out, with the yellow behind it, the yellow is going to stand out.
I say we wait see how this looks when it's on the truck. I mean who would thought that green would look so cool on the rocks in Moab.

The colors I picked I think "I'LL" like pretty well, I'm not ruling out the black for the outer rock ring though. right now its still the zinc primer, not a color coat. The CAT yellow I like though...I think I got that from when my brother started working on the CAT machinery 30 yrs ago, and the color that identified the boldness/toughness of CAT machinery stuck with me.
I never thought the Moeller Green Zinc (RAPC) would stay either, but when I got the body back from the hack shop (on the body dolly) I had to shoot something on the bare metal, and cover the bondo (which the rear quarters seem to be made of) and wanted to get it all one color at least before BB11....so that's what it is...it seems to have taken on that identity now, I haven't heard anyone say they don't like it, and a LOT who say they do, so the Maiden will be RAPC green.

Kert made mods to my DIY4X cover to go with hydroboost, got that painted today and installed....painted the cylinder too, but need to mount the tabs on the tierod yet...
