yup... I always liked the torn skin tatoo's with robot guts stuff...

beyond my artistic skillset tho.. I can mask ANYTHING, including flames.. there a few freehand things I can do, including stencil work.... but ask me to draw a horses head? it's gonna look like a weird dog on acid...
:haha::haha::haha:

I'm in awe watching someone do that stuff...I could sit for hours at a bike rally and watch the airbrush artists...maybe thats because of their subjects though...
this one brings the cool out:

If I stumbled onto that I'd probably kick in the fender while screaming like a little girl and then jumping up and running away.

I hate spiders.:doah:

I only hate em ifn' they get on me...we get that some at work...walking through the aisle between tanks...bam cobwebs in your face, and that sh!t wasn't there an hour ago, so you know the little bastard is around you close!

Thats when I start smackin my self allover and screamin like a cheerleader about to get raped!

My first wish if I found a geanie would be for ALL arachnids to DIE!:waytogo:

As for the franken fenders, Run 'em till their ripped off by a few rocks:D Then replace them with more crappy ones. ITS THE MAIDEN, NOT A SHOW TRUCK:D:haha:

I agree. While I wouldn't use that body on a show/road/DD/even a light wheeler that wouldn't see body damage I'd use it for what you built the Maiden for. Let the rocks destroy it or the rust make it unusable, then replace it with another "so so" body.

Body swap's a heck of a lot of work, especially with your cage, to then go and potentially roll it offroad the first time out.

"Yay pristine sheet metal!"

CRUNCH.

"Oh crap, flattened body, bent roof, and doors that don't open!"
:doah:

Not to mention losing the sliders that eric and me SLAVED away on:whistle:

I've never been quick at body work...comparing to my BIL (he was the one who did the final finish on the body and shot the Vette paint) He could do in a day what it would take me a week to do, so putting that much effort into this body don't seem worth the effort to me, considering its present condition, and its intended use...I hope to strip and refinish Bart next year, so that'll give me plenty of elbow work.
I hope this thing will be in decent shape by BB14! It'll look good behind Bart traveling across the country.

Those have only had light duty Rick, but if body swaps do happen, those would be easily recovered for the new one! And they Rock too! :waytogo:

Camper is packed and ready for a week at Silver Lake...

Taking it up tonight after work (about a 2-1/2 hour drive)
to park it where I stay with some friends.
Coming home tomorrow after I get it parked.

going to the drags in chicago this coming Friday, meeting Kert, Tracy, and Konner; as well as Rick and the infamous MS. Shady, and maybe Ricks boy?
I'll get home on Sunday night the 1st. Hopefully I will have the Maiden ready to load on Monday then head up there with it Monday eve, or Tues.
Gotta hit a few more items on the list then try to get some paint splashed on some panels before re-install.

I agree dave airbrushing is badass. My buddy craigs dad (my buddy you met at power tour) could airbrush some badass stuff before he passed away. Both his and his wives harleys are done in the true fire flames and they look so freekin cool. I would love to learn some of that stuff

Zim the progress is looking really good. Looks almost ready to wheel again!

My uncle and cousins will be there racing. I think my Dad and my brother are going to watch as well, wish I could make it.

I have thought about making an M-37 hybrid fender at some point, like this from earlier in my thread:

Oh no! This again...:zombie4:

:haha:

...
Fan relays...Done
Hood pins
Hood hinges...Done
...

Hood pins, really? You must really think that death wobble is going to be gone if you plan on going a buck 20 or something now. :waytogo:

I think the frankenstien stitches would be cool around those rough spots and if they get beat some the stitches will still look good. But I'm not much of an artist.

Going to have to plan a trip out there sooner than later

I saw the zimmer mobile in muskegon headed back to kzoo around 11:30 lol. I flagged dave down and we chatted on the side of an off ramp while i was on the clock :haha:

That was a hell of a surprise Adam...was thinking about you on the way back, and BAM, who the hell is passing me on the right lane...ADAM!

No I thought you were going to Joliet for the races this weekend? They will be there. Racing the Corvette they just built in the stock class and the Cobalt they finished last year in the super stock class, a camaro roadster they build, along with a couple others. They won't have the dragsters because most of them got burnt in a huge fire on the freeway in kentucky or tennesee a few weeks ago when they got rearended by a semi driver. Horrible accident.
