Man, that's a steal for that entire front clip. :waytogo:

That will look killer up on a wall, specially in a pool room. Even cooler if you get the lights to work. :wink1:

that battery plate gonna interfere with the batt switch or are you gonna move it?

thats what we thought Mike....while not cherry parts, there is enough there that is usable to make it a steal.
The grille and headlights show the 40+ years of age, which is perfect for the patina'd look I want in the poolroom.
Lights, like that idea, but don't want them to blind anyone while shooting pool...maybe a glow like this:

the switch will be right below the support shelf, and still very functional!

Dave,
No biggie on the leg work, I truly appreciate the call on the parts. With all the sitting the truck has done in the last year I needed to stretch her legs anyways. :waytogo:

Patina rocks! And that grill assembly will look b*tchin on the wall.
Can't wait to see it.

Jim

Small amount of progress on the tank today Dave. Got one side welded on to the main body.

Started the "spider." Get a little futher tomorrow hopefully. Really not much to photograph.

Jim, glad I read your post last night, that triggered me to think of you for the parts...I was ready to bring it home in hopes someone could use the metal....worked out great.

sounds good Kert, I didn't get much done myself today, but was in the shop for hours:dunno:

And 2 more episodes.

Not sure how Adam is doing, being a sickly dizzy lad the last few days, him making the trip to Kert's might be in jeopardy.

I didn't get squat done in the shop today, been doing some baby sitting for my grandson, and really putting the jam on me getting done what I need to before I leave Thurs AM...
Still got to get the Battery support finished and a 2x4 crate made to haul home the cowl hood from Philip (Ratlover) in ILL.

Badass Kert   .... Awesome work and a great write up on the mock up Dave..

My guess, a lot of people are going to be following this tank build for along time to come. :waytogo:

Kert....looking as badass as I thought it would, nicely done man! Dam them lines are bigguns!
Can't wait to get there and see it in person....pics just don't do justice!

Thanks Mike, Kert has an awesome way of making thoughts come to reality!

I feel as though my head has been ran over and someone shoved razor blades down my throat. I'm gonna have to cancel. I can't ride in a truck and then sit in a shop like this.

Fock me :doah:

I'm gonna go sleep for another 14 hours
