2 did look a touch darker than the others....it is the broken one in the retake...I think there might be a problem with #2
Mine idles rich too. I think it's a FAST 1.0 quirk. I had to go back and set the IAC down some and now it doesn't want to die every time I let off the gas but it still needs to set rich.I have the idle a bit rich or it dies, @ 800rpm
WOT is@ 12.5 as recommended
I will check those settings again when I get the new tuneup parts in it.

Bring it along Adam!

I will go thru the setup menu again to be sure....seems like I went thru the steps as it asks you too, but wouldn't hurt to do it again.Dave did you set your IAC low enough when the engine is warmed up and in neutral? It should be able to keep it running no problem, but if the valve isn't closed enough when its warm them it may not be able to open far enough to keep it running when its cold or when its in gear.
I think 12.8 or so at WOT should run good and still be plenty safe.

I have my WOT set to 12.7, it seems happy there. Every engine is a tad different though.
The dunes are a good place to play with the WOT A/F. Pick a hill and hit it at different target ratios and see what works best![]()
Ok thanks for the tip....now if I could figure out what those other numbers/letters mean.....lolZim,
I'll tell you the same thing I tell Charlie when he's reading one of his books.... just sound out the word letter by letter.
The "D" makes a "Duh" sound.... then the "E" makes an "ehhh" sound......"L"......"El"......"C"...."O"
Looks like "DELCO" to me.....
Nice Job Zim, way to sound-it-out like a big boy.
Here's your cookie!

Is the tan/brown color how your reading them as rich?I agree with health, 12.8 is safe, 12.5 is fat..
They seem a tad rich, nothing alarming though..
I'd say it's dark to be considered perfect.. Within the realm of adjustment but not so close it's like splitting hairs.. Its possible it's just rich in a certain point in the range.. Cruise or while accelerating. Normally a fi engine produces an almost grey plug..
I believe mine is set at 12.8 or 12.9 or 13.0 Im away from the truck and can't remember exactly. Either way it's pretty rich and smells it too but that's how it runs the bestGlenn do you know what your idle mix is?
I think I will do some playing with the programmer at the dunes.
