Finished the new transmission lines, but still need to make some new mounting points to secure them to.
Pulled the diff covers... my granddaughter helped me for a couple hours.
All good with the D60, not so much on the 14BFF ... found a few chips of metal...further investigation required....any guesses?

I'd guess pieces of the pilot bearing.

Zim, can you get another picture that shows the pinion from a few angles?

Whatever you can. Was just curious what we can't see

I'd guess pieces of the pilot bearing.

Pinion bearing(s)? There is also the 3rd bearing which I think they call a straddle bearing.

Zim, can you get another picture that shows the pinion from a few angles?

I fished that ring out, looks like a snap ring?, and another piece of schrapnel....looks like what ever it was it gouged the carrier a couple times.

Don’t know what was in there that wants out? But I do remember you saying...

Not once do I regret putting a BB in this thing!

Something may have tried to run between the pinion and ring gear teeth and caused the bearing to grenade.... it may not be too bad at this point....
Pulling the pinion housing and taking a look is going to make the difference.

May be able to change out the bearing and clean the chips out..refill it and run it..

It looks like the rollers are missing. Usually you can see the end of all of them. I'd make sure to check down your tubes and everything so you don't get a surprise later. My Bee ate that bearing and chewed the chit out of the gears.

Here You can see the straddle bearing with the gap in the cage?
And the middle bearing.
