'78 K10 Build

Speedway sells the bung. Mine is in the driver side collector on my '88 V10 Suburban.

Have you test fitted the headers yet? The driver side looks like its going to interfere with the clutch linkage.

Did last night, but I switched to a hydraulic clutch so I think I'll be ok. The pass side flange is about a half inch from the shackle, but I think it will be fine. One of the drivers side primarys is really close to a motor mount, but the engine torques to the pass side correct? So I think I'll be ok with that too. The o2 bung will be fine where I originally thought. Overall I think they fit pretty good.

Still doesn't run, but here is a picture.

looks good :thumb:

whats left besides the obvious plumbing? wiring? hydro clutch sorted out?

Thanks.

More has been done since this picture. Everything is done besides finishing up the wiring, exhaust, fuel delivery, and sorting out the no crank issue.

As far as I can tell the clutch works the way its supposed to, but we'll see. The engine looks good in there I think.

It started and ran for about 3 seconds last night. The injectors are not spraying, but more or less dripping. It will just barely start right away for a split second and die and keep cranking. Getting closer at least.

Looks pretty. :D

Nice dude. I'm at the same point. I need to wire and put fluids in her. Out of curiosity, how did you wire up the fuel pump? If you have pics of that, it would be helpful. That's one of the last things I need to figure out

I can't answer that as Nick (HINZ28) has done 99% of the wiring. I can get pics when we get it all done cause right now wires are just twisted together for testing and we are going back through cleaning up the wire mess and heat shrinking stuff.

It's powered though a relay. Send constant fused 12v to the relay then power to pump out of the relay, triggered by the fuel pump signal from the ECM. Along with that there ignition power to the coil, injectors and sensors. I'm sure people have more professional ways to do it but this is the simple way and I've had my truck running good on it for a while now
