It's powered though a relay. Send constant fused 12v to the relay then power to pump out of the relay, triggered by the fuel pump signal from the ECM. Along with that there ignition power to the coil, injectors and sensors. I'm sure people have more professional ways to do it but this is the simple way and I've had my truck running good on it for a while now
