They are not just raw metal they are coated. Silver or gold. Mine are silver, but I don't think they are going to rust on mine.:doah:

i hate taking a step forward just to take two steps back..... i got the engine in, the transmission hooked up, the transfer case bolted on... and my torque converter is leaking. slow, very slow, but it is leaking.

That sucks!

hey, this is the fuel tank filler neck and the passenger side frame rail.

isn't there supposed to be more clearance then this?
my concern is the filler neck rubbing against the frame and wearing a hole, or rubbin paint off the frame.

i wish i could go to airborne. or arc. or ranger.

but nobody wants to pay my TDY for those. i'm going to SLC.

So, SLC equals Army PME?

We go out and support Jump Master Training/Basic Airborne course and the SF freefalls all the time. One of my favorite TDY's. With Bragg being a close second.

hey i'm not infantry. i'm a cav scout. but yea, i would love to go to ranger school, but getting a slot and the TDY is the difficult part.

Infantry, Cav..... same thing.... It's like Infantry and Combat Engineer....lol. My apologies.. lol.

OK...combat arms.

the body is still off being painted..... i've still been working on my swap, slowly though. no real major updates, except that i have almost all new rubber from 1a auto for the body when it gets done.

I like the header fitment of those vs the ones I have a lot more.

Looking great :thumb: Do you have any updates on the paint?

My front fenders were wrecked, they replaced them with some new ones, opened them up wider by flaring out the lip so it looks all stock but with much more clearance. The rust on the firewall has all been replaced with new steel, the front firewall has been smoothed. The roof, doors, front fenders, rear fenders have all been blocked and primed. There was still some rust in the front passenger floor that had to be replaced when I was there two weeks ago.

The headers fit perfectly other then the slight angle towards the trans on the passenger side ... I had to get some new MSD wires, stock wires wouldn't fit. And the engine oil dip stick won't bolt up because of the header flanges ... I might have to grind on it a bit.
