'81 K5, "BlaZeus"- How to NOT build the ultimate budget K5; 3 & 4 link build

Was getting kinda burnt out on the rear, and have been out of my adhd rX for like a week and have not had the motivation to get stuff done at work, let alone this pile of metal.
So today mustered up enough oomph (mostly cuz I was so stoked that Duke beat Yale!!!!!:saweet:) to start up on the 08 Silverado conversion front clip mounts.

Made some solid progress tonight. Worked on getting the front clip mounted over the weekend. Realized it was time to work on something else when I started trying to get everything to fit together with cm tolerances and nothing looked right...:o:surepal::screwy: So went back to the back and tied the rear back seat mounts back into the cage. Tie in tubes tacked in.
Then went underneath and instead of boxing the frame between the front and rear link mounts, decided that it'd be easier and strong to box the front link mounts, and then run an X-member from the boxed frame front link mount to the opposite side boxed rear link mount.:dunno: ran out of time tonight. Will do the rest of the X tomorrow. All is tacked together right now.
Also tacked in a rectangular rear xmember at the end of the new frame. The fuel cell mounting will be fab'd off of this and tie in to the future rear bumper.

See now your cooking with gas lol

Looking good.

I might run some stringers off your suspension brace to the top of the frame just to spread the load more evenly on the frame.
