Yes, 1981 was the first year for the 32 spline SM465/NP208 combo.
In K10's, K20's, Suburbans, Blazers, and Jimmys.
K30's retained the ten spline SM465/NP205 combo until 1984. The first year for the 32 spline SM465/NP205 combo was 1985.

Why not get a nice tool box? Lots of storage in them. You can get the short ones that don't go over the bed rails like mine if you don't like how they look.





Well to me if you're going headers pretty much long tubes are the way to go, short tubes I always heard you may as well just run manifolds. Not sure what the truth is there.long or short tubes?
