It’s a good 36” from the O2 so I doubt it had an effect on the EFI. However I think the leak caused some of the heat shield to come loose off the floor.
I’m pretty close to “ready” for the trip.

Best luck I have ever had with collector gaskets is the aluminum ones.
I really can’t complain considering I drove the truck to the trail, beat on it and drove it 2 hours + home. Make sure your rear bearing isn’t pushing outI’m also having an issue with my crawl box sliding into neutral when I decel in 2 high. It’s a problem I had when I first got this truck together and it went away. I need to call NWF on Monday and see what they say.
The front of the 205 likes to pop out going down hill in loose shale rock so I need to address that this winter too. Never did it on fordyce but the rock on the rubicon seems to trigger it.
Make sure your rear bearing isn’t pushing out
