Decided to upgrade the PS pump to a PSC pump that will use the external reservoir I already have. Also bought some fittings for the box, pulley and a reservoir clamp. I'll need some other fittings and hose later but I'll wait on that until I figure out where the reservoir and cooler will go.

Apparently the wife was taking some action shots too.

Haha... I once used a very similar technique to get my cruiser out of the garage and then back in...

No shame in pulling cable in your driveway is there?

No shame IMO however several of my neighbors look at me like this when they drive by

I'm just glad I had the winch. At my old place I had to use a come-along for the drag car whenever it was broken :doah:

Disappointing to log in and not see video of this thing running.... :(

I was too tired to do anything else last night, stayed up till midnight the night before. Tonight I'll start the wiring, I see no reason why this shouldn't be running by end of day tomorrow.

I'm on schedule

mounted and plumbed the trans cooler last night, coolant system is plumbed, fuel pump is grounded, put a couple bolts on the battery tray. I went through the harness last night, tried to remember what is what :rotfl:

couple pics....

Nice and clean.

Having wiring issues that frustrated me enough that I had to walk away from it. Something weird is going on with the ignition 12v+, can't even get the starter to kick. I also found that one side of the firewall junction doesn't have anything attached to it and I found some old pics that show something attached.

That little block by the brake booster?
I believe that it gets power from the main stud on the starter, which doesn't have to stay that way. It just takes more wire , (in a stock set-up) to run to the battery.
But you will realize that after a good night's sleep!

Yeah that's the one. I had pulled some wiring through the firewall that I thought was all AC crap however one wire reaches over to the junction. Last night I sat in bed going through old photos, found some clearly showing another wire so I got up, went out to the shop and found that focker. Verified I had power at the coil and starter, slept like a baby:D

I was going to say check your grounds... I used a "projection TBI system" on my Landcruiser and had trouble getting it to fire/start. Turns out that my ground from the block back to battery/frame was bad in the middle of the cable. I chased my tail finding that one for days.

Working through some issues, first was a fuel pump that wasn't priming. Was getting low voltage readings, double checked the grounds and added another from the tank to the frame. Got 12 volts at the pump but it wasn't running. Pulled that out and jumpered it directly to the battery, still nothing. Decided to stick a probe in the pump and see if it would spin, it was a little tight and then spun like normal. Now it's working.....thanks AC Delco.

Now I'm trying to figure out why I don't have spark.
