Your doing ok these days? Memory loss or any long term side affects?

I'm doing very well. No memory loss other than the night of the accident and I have very little memory of the week in the ICU. I still can't smell anything but that's quite minor with all things considered. I've also managed to stay dry for the past 10 months since the accident which doesn't hurt.

I'm pretty damn lucky.

Dude, 10 months without a shower is a bit disturbing?!!

Na, all joking aside, that's good to hear man.
Glad you're doing well.
Being sober isn't the worst thing, as I've found out.

lol I agree.

Being sober isn't all that bad but I have to keep physical activities as part of my daily routine.

Can you just camp by the water? Is it all open?

there’s some areas along the water that you can camp at. It really depends on the water level. The actual campgrounds with picnic benches are closed but we never stay at those anyway. Up the road from bowman is faucherie and further up is meadow lake. Those campgrounds are closed too.

The truck has been getting used with a camping trip to bowman and a Fordyce trip with @Chevk587 and some of his friends last weekend. One week from tomorrow I'll be on the Rubicon with @530BLAZER & @onetonbb74 so I'm trying to get some maintenance work done and fix some things that have been getting worse.

up first was the rear 57" springs which I've had on this truck since I did the shackle flip on the first frame in 2013. I found a few F150's in the yard and one in particular that someone already removed the rear axle from.

These have offset pins so I run them with offset blocks moving the axle back forward to minimize my tank skid to diff cover interaction.

New poly bushings and the old stock ones I was running. You'll notice the rear poly bushing (smaller one) uses a 5/8" bolt rather than the 9/16" so I had to bore out the shackle a c hair over 5/8"

I have to run over to Ruffstuff and grab some new u-bolts in a little bit, one was stripped and they're all pretty hammered.

On the way out fordyce trail I noticed two bolts were missing from the anti-wrap which I thought was odd but it was possible they came loose. After further inspection I came to the conclusion that the anti-wrap was binding quite a bit, enough to bend a 9/16" bolt. I believe the 2 missing bolts were sheared off since the holes no longer align. Secondly, I apparently forgot to swap out the 5/8' heim bolt for a shoulder bolt when I was mocking up the rear suspension.

I'm pretty sure this started binding when I swapped out the 6 degree shims for the 4 degree last year when I was experiencing driveline vibes on the highway. I don't remember adjusting the heim therefore the anti-wrap was fighting the leaf springs. At least that's my working theory based on the axle position at rest disconnected from the leafs.

I also found a shim coming out on the passenger front (top) after breakfast on our last day at Fordyce. I removed my bump pad from the u-bolt plate And found a snapped centering pin. The bottom half of the pin was still centered on the axle but the top half that held the top shim was broken. I loosened up the studs and u-bolt, hammered the shim back in and tightened it up. It held up fine for the 3 hours of wheeling out and the one hour drive home. I picked up some new ruffstuff u-bolts, WFO centering pins and WFO Dana 60 u-bolt studs last week. I pulled it apart yesterday finally and found a hammered center pin and my leafs are pretty well fk'd.

Right where the shim makes contact with the leaf it's shaped like a spaghetti noodle.

I was able to secure a new pair of Pro Comp 13311 springs locally that I'll pickup tomorrow. I'm interested to see if my gangster lean is cleared up with the new springs and bushings on all 4 corners.
