'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

Friday lube job.....

It’s always fun when the part doesn’t accept grease and pops the nozzle off and grease goes everywhere. I appreciate modern greaseless vehicles more every time I have to grease the blazer.

That’s what prompted this haha.

I spend $10 to have the corner repair shop grease all ~20 of the joints on the truck, because like you, I don’t care for that particular chore.

David
I wish I could do that, but I’m a paranoid asshole and won’t let anyone touch my stuff. It really does bother me sometimes that I can’t let go haha.

The complaints about greasing little vehicles sure went on a long time. :D
I don't have any pictures of what we deal with on the mixer trucks. And often have to lube them when they are hot.
Rear exit PTO shafts suck.

Keep being the control freak that you are @Fastereddie because it makes cool stuff!

I know all about the big trucks and equipment. I worked on heavy equipment, mixers and otr trucks the first 15 yrs of my working life. Luckily at most of the places I worked we had lube guys that would take care of the greasing and oil changes, I just had to fix them. Still a lot of big messy crap lol. One time I was removing a driveshaft/coupling on a 988 and learned a good lesson about leaving one bolt still in while prying it loose. Thought I broke my sternum!
Thanks for the props!

Dropping off the keys, and leaving a nice square body rig with a bunch of $10 an hour lube jockies could be a major mistake. You might come back to get your truck, and they will say..."what truck? You never left any truck with us". A few hours later your rig is across the southern border, and belongs to a cartel member.

(IF) I ever did let someone work on it, I wouldn’t leave it outta my sight, that’s for sure.
