'84 K5 Build (Midlife Crisis)

It works if you can’t get the GM handle. Though the later 4500 handles have the molded in knob that looks out of place in these.

It’s too bad this guy is always out of stock as they are slick. Hurst stick with his short throw base. I’ve got a jeep buddy that put a core shifter on his tj with a nv3500 and man it was nice. Bolt action positive, crisp shifts. Shorter throw for sure too.

Thanks guys, It’ll be a little bit before I actually “need” the shifter. Figured I’d start getting opinions from y’all

What was the back story?
From the tags I figured a wrecking yard unit?
Yeah junk yard unit. 2wd with 225k miles. Planned on rebuilding it since I need to swap shafts. I’ve been looking since October and been kicking myself for not grabbing the one you had. Anyway, I’ll have a lot of dough tied up by the time I’m done! Oh well, I enjoy this shit.

So what rebuild kit did you get? Stock synchros or brass?

I've never been a manual transmission guy and now I can't use them.:weapon13:(closest to pirate emoji available haha)

What is this slush box guy looking at? I assume it's NV4500 stuff?
At first I thought it was a oil filter relocation kit.

Gonna need that extra gear when I blow passed you in the whoops out in Moab again Eddie.
:haha:
