While you were in the diff, did you check for any slop in the pinion bearing?
Yeah I was going to change it but it seemed nice and tight
I checked the forums and everyones came off way easier i watched the videos too. How did you do yours because I heated and beat on it with a sledge, used penetrate spray and an air chiselHoly epic steering arm battle!!
We old farts here could have saved you about 7 1/2 hours of frustration and it would have come off in one piece...if you had asked, or searched. Just an FYI after the fact...

I did that for 3 hours but maybe I just wasn't doing it rightHit down and side to side only. Penetrant helps. Keep hitting downward and side to side until the cone washers pop up...and be patient enough to wait for them to pop up. Once they do, use a sharp screwdriver and hammer to turn them out. No cutting required...
