87 K5 "Cashbag"

I envision this looking pretty nice, keep cracking Willie

The quality of these brackets and parts are excellent.

ORD, you do a great job!!!!!!!

These are for the limiting straps. The longer bolt is for the "Bung" that gets welded onto the frame. The shorter bolt is for the "Hanger bracket" that gets welded to the axle. I had extra hangers so I welded two together for more strength.

Painted and getting ready for some trimming to clear the 40" Maxxis.

I fabricated some brackets for the Bump Stops. Check them out, welded to the axle. They needed to be 4.5" tall to work. The first one I made was about .5" too short so I welded some steel on top of the bracket to get the height I was after. The other bracket, driver side, was done right the first time.

@wheels87k5 on the front did you use the ORD shock hoops? How much did you trim or have to modify them to fit, especially on the driver's side?

I did use the ORD shock hoops in the front. On the driver side I was able to weld the hoops to the top of the frame. It gives me clearance for the hydro-boost brake system and allows me to keep the shocks and coil-overs almost straight up and down (vertical).

The passenger side.....I made some brackets that are welded to the side of the frame to get the shock hoop to clear the air conditioning. And it also allows the shocks to stay vertical.

Check out page 14 for some decent pics of the set up.

@Capt Ron

I had my harness done by Team208Motorsports. There seems to be some connectors on the harness that I won't be using. Do you have a layout of what you use with your harness? I'm getting real close to starting the rebuilt L29 but want to make sure I have everything hooked up.

My harness was from Howells and as far as I remember there were no connectors leftover/unhooked.
