'89 Blazer LS swapped DD/Adventure Rig

Got my hoses built yesterday and the system charged, no issues there.

It is kicking ass, we'll see how it does when summer gets here.[emoji41]

Glad to hear it all went together well and is working good. Hope the info I gave you help.

Took the Blazer back to the a.c. shop today because the compressor was short-cycling. The guy told me that since my cooling fans were not hooked up when he charged the system he couldn't charge it completely. So I got the fans hooked up last night, he topped it off and adjusted the low pressure switch today.

It is working even better, I couldn't be happier. [emoji41]

I also got my cold air intake installed, I need to build an enclosure for it though... The one that comes with the kit are of course for a 99-07 and they don't fit for some reason [emoji45] lol

My comp motor mounts from Kert should show up tomorrow and I'll get those swapped in this weekend, I hope I'll gain some crossmember clearance with them.

Btw my diagram for the fans did not work. Evidently the diodes I had would not work on a ground circuit, so I ended up using a double mini relay box to operate the fan control. So you need one relay per output trigger going to the main fan relays.

Poser shots!

Did a little riding around today since we got a ton of rain lately [emoji97]

Looks like fun. I'm curious as to where you're going wheeling? I'd like to find somewhere to do basic trail riding with my truck. Doing the big mud pits does nothing for me any more. I cleaned enough of that **** off when I first got the truck:doah:

This is a buddy's hunting club. 10k acres with plenty to explore, just have to be careful not to tear the roads up. Bogs and Boulders is a pretty close off road park that I've never been real crazy about. I have to drive my rig everyday so I don't abuse it much, just ride around really.

Yea I'm over just south of the space center, so not much around here expect mud from what I've found.

Same idea I have for my truck, mostly street driven but want to explore some trails once in a while.

Mine has served me well for what I use it for, excellent utilitarian vehicle

I see your "5.3L" badge. Where did you come up with that? I wouldn't mind finding a nice badge like that for my 6L.

Here's a picture of the a.c. with the hoses installed, I am happy with the fit although they were $$.... but then again what isn't on this blazer?!

And my motor mounts showed up today! I also ordered the correct bushings to accept a 1/2" bolt since kert's come with 9/16" bushings. I'll try to get these in this weekend.

Looking good dude :waytogo:

Do you mind posting a pic of the engine looking in from the front? I'm curious how much that high mount AC bracket hangs off to the side... Most of the ones I've seen look kinda goofy but yours looks really good from the angles you posted.

Will do. It really fits well in there, I felt the same way you do when I saw other front view images though. [emoji1]

Motor mounts revisited :

Diy4x lowers and dirty dingo LS swap uppers. Now the motor is sitting perfectly level side to side and I have plenty of crossmember clearance! [emoji14]

The 6 month old factory style lowers were already rotten and cracked, yay Taiwan....

Your truck is looking great! I couldn't find it in your thread but are you using the stock crossmember or an aftermarket one?
