89 K5 ls power on tons

Just got in today from offshore, had slot of errands to run after being gone two weeks but I couldn't leave without test fitting one wheel..

The 241 sye came in so I'm gonna try to get it installed and case clocked this week.

thatk30guy hooked me up with some 56" springs, should be here tomorrow. I've done tons of research and can't find a straight answer on if I should run them as is or pull some leaves out of them. Any opinions?

When i put stock 5 leaf 52s in the front, I had to add a leaf because of the weight
Just a thought

Swapped the 52" springs out for the 56" springs today, ended up removing two leaves from them. Sits perfect IMO, if you measure the pinch weld the rear is 1" higher.

Also dropped the transfer case and installed the sye and clicking ring. I have the ord ring and it looks like it's going to hit the floor on the second position up... Either going to dent the floor alittle or go to the first position.

Well had some flooding in my area and spent a lot of time trying to help out those who weren't as fortunate as me during this time. After a rough week of gutting house and helping people move I was able to work on the blazer yesterday. Got the new trans crossmember finished up and ready to install tomorrow. Hopefully I can't get the rearend back out and everything welded up this week.

Yeah man it was defiantly a humbling experience, lots of people where still recovering from the flood in March.

image.jpeg image.jpeg Tore apart the rear springs and cleaned them up over the last several days between rain storms. Painted them with graphite based paint, replaced missing Teflon pads and installed the ord bushings.

Shouldn't the shock bolt go through the bracket?

So got kinda bored after work yesterday and added up the total cost so far... Needless to say it was kind of sickening, what started out as just a simple ls swap has snowballed into a full out build. Trying to do everything right the first time is insanely expensive.

Pulled the exhaust back off today and finished welding it up. Ended up going with a borla xr-1 love the sound, still gotta finish the exhaust from the muffler out the back. Anyone have any pics of routing with a flip kit on a k5. Also realized the flip kit interfere with my class 3 receiver, either going to drill the bracket or notch it. Trimmed the front bumper and got it back on, ever time I cut something I send I picture to my brother bc it makes him cringe..

IMG_1168.JPG IMG_1161.JPG Well works been crazy lately, not much time off to make progress. Did get the exhaust ran out the back, still need to take it back off to clean up the welds and paint it. Had to get creative with the routing because of the flip kit and non onboard board. Over all I'm happy, gonna cut the exit hole to 4" and order a trim ring eventually.

Thanks man, I got a few more pics I'll try to get some more tomorrow. It's 2.5" crossed over under the transfer case out put. Y pipe into 3" with a Borla Xr-1, took a lot of bends to get it to clear everything.IMG_1162.JPGIMG_1167.JPG
