Also with the 1410 I’d be sure to get the HD or XD u-joint. They’re poop if they have the grease passage drilled in them. I made a couple of them go supersonic on greenday one year.

I totally forgot about the front yoke, which was the one I technically needed in the first place.

So heading back Monday to grab one and this coming weekend going to wheel hopefully.
Sometimes I walk out to the garage and remember I forgot to pee when I was inside the house.

Lol.

I forgot to take pictures but picked up two Spicer 1410 yokes and a new Spicer 1410 joint. 12$.

But they are strap style, luckily with the Spicer's they are flat on the back side, so I'm going to drill them out and u bolt them. Problem solved.

For anyone who wants to do this junkyard route the Dana 70 can be an elusive creature. Most trucks came with the Dana 80. So after much crawling around I realized that probably 80% of Dodge 3/4 ton vans have the 70 as well, and a decent amount of them also have a 1410 yoke. There are some 1350 ones floating around as well so keep your eyes peeled. Spicer wants 100$+- for a 1410 yoke, I got two for 12$.

It still had one bolt left. That bottom one on the inside that sucks to get too. Also noticed that little spacer was missing. Must of broken apart during it's aborted launch sequence.

A few pictures, I'm terrible about taking them. Trail damage is as follows: My new PS box doesn't work so no PS (terrible) I crushed both front fenders and ruined my new grill, broke the big back driver side window, and I lost that little slider thing for my front caliper and it fell off and rattled around inside the wheel all day. Other than that a good day.

The doubler worked awesome btw, shifted smooth and used it quite a bit. It's pretty loud though with all those gears and no shifter boots or a plate over the hole. I also noticed my speed sensor isn't reading for whatever reason.

The full manual 80e is super nice, downshifting will put you through the windshield if your not careful. Especially coming down hill, it locks the tires up almost.

Got a line on some recentered H1s, he wants to trade my 4 aluminum wheels for his 5 H1s. They need some paint but that's alright.

Discovered the PS box launching itself problem today and feel kind of silly.

Rebuilt the new box again and got it working. Seems good. So after doing that I was giving it a once over for our March 17 run and noticed the tie rod was hitting the cover, hard. It was actually pushing the box off the frame. I guess between the DIY4X cover and 1 3/4 tie rod it's just too much . Which I should of noticed. I'm an idiot I guess. So I moved the knuckle stops out 1/4 and it has a hair of clearance turning both ways. Not a huge difference, with the welded diff it's not great anyways so I may be a 3.5 point turn now. I'll take it. Free fix.

So this week I have a few upgrades planned for my March 18th run.

I need hydroboost badly. It isn't a fan of steering with the welded diff.

I need sliders and at the least a front bumper.

I need to get my pinion guard I keep forgetting about.

I may do the 1410 rear shaft now vs later

And a cosmetic thing, I found a 78 round eye pickup in the yard today, and I smashed my perfect 91 grill and headlights. I really want a round eye suburban. So this may happen too.

Order eBay 454 shorty headers and do some exhaust. It's unpleasant at 5500 rpm with a hole in the floor and open headers.

Wire my newly gotten CB.

And lastly wire my relays into my windows that I have had for a month.
