Bahaha.

Hilarious. I love that video. I sent it in the group text me and a few buddies have when the jeep build pops up.

Any other solutions? I'm all ears.

So I got that turd mounted. Going to cut some 3/8 up into shackle mounts and cut a hole into each side of the bumper on the frame rails for it to slide too and be welded to the frame, the back side of the bumper and the front side. If that fails abandon ship.

Tomorrow hopefully getting up early and cutting the rockers out. Got a early brainstorm plan of how to do it. Should stiffen it up real nice maybe in theory.

Cool.

That's what I was hoping for. It dont look bad all tacked on and doctored up.

Ordered an Astrovan PS pump to replace my cobbled together leaking truck pump. It supposedly puts out 200psi more pressure, so taking out the pressure fitting to 5/64 hopefully will move that ram around good enough to run. We shall see.

Driver side tacked in. Going to 2x2 to the frame and finish welding it maybe tomorrow, maybe next week.

Got my CB mounted and got my floor patched.

Tomorrow's goal is to get the CB wired in and working, fix the last window and maybe do a little local wheeling to test her out.

Got the CB wired in and powered up. Didn't key the mike because they day it will damage the radio without the antenna hooked up.

Not going to run the 6ft whip, it will just get torn off with a quickness. Found nice 3ft ones that I will probably put on the front fender opposite of the radio antenna. Hopefully it will survive there. It's not optimal placement but on the roof it would definitely get ripped off.

Getting some wooden knobs done for my doubler now.

Got these mounted.

Now holesawing my DIY cover to move the drain plug to the driver side to locate my tab for my ram on the passenger side. Hopefully will get my pump swapped out, ram mounted and the steering bled, I want to test this ram out.

Got my ram mounted, the astrovan modified pump installed. Going to fill up fluid tomorrow and take it for a cruise and see what happens.

Tomorrow's project besides that is adding braces from the sliders to the frame, and extended the rear kickouts 3in or so.

Im excited for sunday.

Looking good, always seems odd to see tcase shifters in front of the trans shifter coming from my manual trans setup. Cable shifter for the win.

Here's poor Kurt's 60 cover getting cut up.

Which reminds me I should shoot him an email and ask him if he does put the fill plug on the opposite side for HP60s. Not that it matters now but it would save someone some time down the road. He probably does though, that sharp feller.

I'll take some more pics today, I didn't take any of the hydro mount yet because I took it back apart and painted it.

I also bent my 1 3/4 3/8 wall tierod 8* on both ends, which allowed me to clear the diff cover and ram, and gave me my full lock to lock steering back. So now I use the full 8in or the ram. I was nervous bending it due to it's thickness but it went easier than I would of guessed. Adjustment will be a little more difficult now, but it does allow me to take my diff cover off with the tierod in place, so I'll take it. If it gets bent I imagine I did something kind of stupid. Which reminds me my practice wheeling actually dented my DIY front cover. Hard to see in the pic but I hit a rock with some gusto.
