91 K5 -Procrastination Build - bikini top!

Picking them up straight from Interco?

Yeah, should be cool.

Before I locked in on your wheels I was searching all over for 15”, 16.5” and 17” tires, I was checking several of the Swamper product lines. When I couldn’t find anyone with inventory on SX, SX2 or LTB’s so I called Interco and discovered they will sell to the public, I always figured they’d only sell to dealers. These Boggers are $100 cheaper EACH than places like Summit, 4Wheel Parts, etc., well worth the 4 hr drive. The savings will pay for fuel, taxes, lunch and a cool visit (I should still save about $150 on the set overall).

I should add, in case anyone is thinking about buying tires, that there is no stock on the popular 39", 40", 42" (and probably others) Interco tires that are built in China (ex; LTB, SX, SX2) and the official ETA is "sometime in 2022". I wanted the 40" SX2's but that wait is ridiculous.

I think @obijuank5 is running the 42" SX2s on his blazer.

Yeah, I think he does. I like them because they're similar to what I'm I'm taking off. A big plus for the SX2 is the deeper tread depth, they seem to average between 27/32"- 29/32" where most of the Interco tires are +/- 25/32". 2/32" isn't a lot until it's a fast wearing bias ply tire. lol

42 sx2 are dope. But not even a real 42.

The 39" bogger tho. Dreamy. It's significantly bigger than the 39.5 tsl.
Roughly your size with 39s on 10 wide plus beadlock. This was before the 70hd so it's a srw 14 bolt. Your truck will look even better.

@obijuank5 thanks for the pic and info! I’ll also have 10” wheels, I’m thinking they’re 3.5” backspacing but not sure. Any wheel spacers in that pic? I’m thinking about using spacers to avoid grinding the calipers and brackets.

Not sure honestly. But probably 1.5 rears. Those were 4" backspace wheels if I remember right.

Last week I pulled the trigger on some tires and former member TARussell and I drove to Interco's office/warehouse in Rayne, La to pick up the tires. Rayne isn't too far from me so I was hoping to go see some cool stuff, boy was I wrong. The "office" is an unexciting remodeled house in a residential area and the "warehouse" is a big metal building basically in the back yard. No real signage, absolutely nothing interesting inside to look at in they (literally) empty lobby except a podium with a sign that said "ring bell for help" - there was no bell. No swag. No neat new or old tires to see. No entry into the warehouse. Nothing. Really nice people but quick in / quick out and over. :dunno:

The nickel tour of Rayne Louisiana...

The city of Rayne welcome sign, note that they are "The Frog Capital of the World" - they have fully embraced this.

Lots of frog murals, LOTS. The banks of the interstate overpasses and almost every building had a mural painted on unused side walls.

Most businesses had frog statues out front.

It should be said that traffic in Baton Rouge is horrible... HORRIBLE. :screwy: :deal:

it appears the 39TSL is a bit taller. I know its mounted, but...did you measure height with a tape and see a big difference?

I have not measured them because of the with/without wheels thing. I need to take the TSL’s back to the owner to make room so I’ll measure them before I do. I need to measure the 43’s too.
