I ended up having to get different electric fans to fit the radiator better. These are from a 2000ish Pontiac Grand Am. They are a perfect fit to my radiator and they move a lot of air. I don't think I 'll run into any overheating problems at all. As you can see below I had to clearance some of the supports for the fans to clear the water pump pulley. Pretty tight clearances but it works great!

I got the drive shaft to fit by cutting off the vibration damper on the slip yoke, the only problem is that I need to bleed the clutch more and the fuel pump isn't staying on after the initial priming when you turn the key on. I just need to jump some wires and it'll be good to go.

I like it! :D
My uncle built a v8 s 10 blazer last year, but I haven`t seen it yet...He lives 12 hours away from me.

What are you doing for fuel supply? Stock in tank fuel pump regulated down?

Yup I am using the factory fuel pump with a bypass regulator. Right now the pressure is set to 6psi. I might up the pressure a little depending on how the first drive goes.

But today I wired in the tach, installed a jumper wire with a switch for the fuel pump relay, and wired in a switch for manual opperation of the electric fans. Now all I need to do is bleed the clutch and she'll be driving!!!

Ok so I blead the clutch for almost 2 hours and really got no where. But I went for a quick test drive anyway... She's a quick little thing :D

I went to bleed the clutch on my bII once after taking the tranny out to fix some stuff and put it back in, broke off the bleeder in the slave cylinder.... yay!!:doah:

Ok so I got the clutch bleed, and exhaust welded in and some odds and ends taken care of. I also got my new shifter handle on and the Hust shifter boot installed. I took it for an extended test drive and I must say that it hauls absolute sack! Also its quite the burnout machine. The only problem is that 5th is a little hard to hit sometimes. I think that it might be because its a little low on trans fluid. I'll top it off before I go to work tomorrow and see how it does in traffic on my commute to work.

Edit: Burnout video to come...

Cool man digging the new motor in the s10! Should be fun on the roads around boston.

I just finished putting a sm465 in my truck (blew up the auto way up in the NH woods....) and found it was easiest to bench bleed the entire set up out of the truck and then install as one unit but looks like space is a bit more limited in your case.

Looking forward to the smoke show vid

Where's that wicked pissah smokeshow, guy?

Feel free to check out the rubber left behind by the cranberry bog on my street

But really I am away for the month. Its kinda funny as soon as I get it together I have to go away. But I'll be back at the end of the month and I'll be sure to post multiple vids.

It's looking real good man. Nice work.

What is the daimeter of each of those fans from the grand am, and total height and width? Just referencing for future projects.

They are 15"x28" ish and they came off an early 2000s Grand Am body style with the 3.4L V6. I'm not sure if the 4cylinder versions would have the same fans. Also if you are looking to put them into a fullsize they won't fit the radiator right since they would be way too short.
