Kind of reminds me of a nicer, less rusty version of my truck. Looks great so far!

Less rusty?
I have less rust in my 14 vehicles combined and some are not California cars and do have rust.

Yeah I’m talking about the new dark blue and light blue one he’s building, not the one he swept into a 5 gallon bucket lol

so shop work has kept me busy last 2 days . did a lift kit for a guy .

rolled the truck back in tonight and mocked up the rear 2nd crossmember for the doubler . looks good and fits good . its from a 70's skid plate combo off a k-series i parted years ago .

also cleaned up and installed my 3 bolts for conv to flexplate . then installed my aluminum dust cover and bolted it down to trans and brace rods from motor mounts .

next big item is get the fuel feed lines figured out for the feed to the sniper .

took the 2wd 16 gal tanks apart today . funny how gm had the tray inside ver the aftermarket . factory is a square HIGH side plastic unit that lets fuel in and goes around to the center like a maze . aftermarket is just a tin tray .

well 1 set of brackets is still real good . other set is iffy but could use . but i have another spare set i will swap in .

the stock tbi fuel pumps work and flow fuel . i know the driver side runs the engine . pass side ? psi to flow . but i am swapping the driver side to the ep381 pump for the sniper needs . and pass side will be transfer tank to driver side only so i dont care about psi .

also got to thinking about rear brakes and cost of the rebuild . dam drums for srw are 2x the price of drw drums . so i was digging around and found my 1 project thats way off the deadline time had pads/rotors/brackets just need calipers and hoses . so i guess were going disc brake rear . also need a adjustable prop valve yet .

waiting on my 2 fuel fittings from redhorse performance . converts the AN o-ring seat from AN tapered to late model quick connect style . then use my dorman fuel line repair kit and make nylon late model style lines real easy and cheeper .

pic is of the conversion fitting . spin out the holley an adaptor and screw these in and click the line on and go .

How are you transferring fuel? Just a toggle switch to a intank pump?

ya that the plan . and a BRIGHT light when the pump has power so i dont forget its on .

unless you know were i can get a ohm's switch to control a relay for the pump . have it come on at 1/4 tank and off at 3/4 tank for the primary tanks reading .

My buddy n I came up with the idea today to put the transfer tank guage and lighted switch in the ash tray so when it's open it's that much more apparent and it also hides the sins

You going to run dual tanks?

Sweet, I thought you said something about van tanks?

No I'm really ocd about some things and I had my stones busted for even wanting to keep both tanks but a non functioning fill door on the passenger side would drive me up the wall even if I hardly ever use it. Unfortunately the switch valve won't return enough fuel for the L18 as most know. So manual transfer is something I'll have to settle for.
