the pic above shows new storage space, the inside panel is not inplace yet, access will be from a hinged panel on top, any latch ideas??

DSCN9285.JPG

this last pic shows the way the chasis was before, I basicly moved some tube around, added some where I felt needed and paneled it. Also I was able to create about 5 square feet of storage for each side by doing so, also have alot of storage under drivers seat as well.

for the real compartments, plan is to move the battery back to the passanger one in the bottom, co2 set up will be on drivers side along with other needed parts. the rear seat will be remoable and will store spare d-shafts and front shafts under the seat..

plan is to have a buggy that can carry full set of spare d-shafts, axel shafts, co2 and tools, water, spare fluids.

other things to be added soon, navigation, rear and front camera, some creature comforts..yada yada

all panels are being welded in now, including floors, I was able to get some handy boat plugs for the floors. also plan to move the air filter into the cab now as well as water proofing as much as I can in the engine bay,

wheel base will change as I figure out the rear suspensiont his week, right now at 112,

other things, 3 link rear with panhard, and these shiny things sway away 2.5 inch coil overs.. leafs up front are superlift 4 inch springs jeep yj springs.

532757_681_full.jpg

this weeked, finished up the side tube and panels, as well as the firewall and started on a cockpit/fighter jet style guage assembly out of 18 guage, aslo got the tires and wheels on

need to still order seat belts and replace the front seats since they are faded and compared to the rear bench look like arse. also need to get the rear links, finish the rear suspension fianally. make the rear seat mount, do the hydro assist, tube the top, paint or powdercoat and then put it all back together.. sounds so easy:doah:

I also have thoughts of moving the radiator to the back now, hmm more work

tell us more about your switch panel... model #... manufacturer... price...etc.

Looks good....:D :D

I've had some bad luck with my poly flanges...
They pop-out from time to time...
The outer splines are undersized, the flange slips by the clips.
I need to get a set of flanges...that are better quality.

the switch panel I got from dansracingsupply.com

call dan up, he sells for less than you can buy direct. he is a real nice guy as well, honest businessman:bow:

anyways, panel is a quickcar, it was around 80.00, killer deal for what it is. they also have some real cool two piece firewall gromets that screw together. Alot of the dirst track parts are sweet:D

480-615-6440

or was it 4660..:doah:

anyways that his number;)

as for the flanges:doah: I hope they hold for me:( they wee the most exspensive ones are the market so they better

I just spoke with Dave, I have the first design.
They did have issues, so they changed the clip size.
Dave is sending new clips...we'll see what happens..

cool, thanks for the skinny. I wonder if he can do them with just plain old black instead of the homoghey checkered flag though...
