Yup, very basic. 10 bolts front and rear, still have 3:42 gears. 4" and 35's with a rear spartan locker.

It did fine, but I didn't push it very hard either.
Yeah my 89 had a 4" lift in the front 6" in the rear with 35s and 10 bolts both were open and I had fun with it but never did anything crazy.

Lincoln lock it keep the tires small ish it will do fine. Have a lead on a SF 14bolt 8 lug but its drying up this weekend if you want one. Have to take the whole truck he just wants the core support and front wiring harness.

How much?

Plan B definitely had a bad water pump, I replaced it now I have a new leak, I caused it... the gasket moved and I didn't notice, it's all good I really wanted to flush the cooling system lol.

Other than this little bump I was able to button up a couple little things it needed for safety inspection.

I'm looking forward to hacking this thing up :)

I'll try to keep the Plan B build and the nightmare build on two different threads.

Those interested can find the new plan B thread here:

Nightmare update:
All my ac parts are in my garage, along with my body bushings, ez-inch, and my complete fitech kit and all parts to install it.
I'm waiting to get my truck back from the body shop, they have had it for 3 weeks now and they told me they only needed it for a couple days :( he said he almost finished it today so Monday I should have it back and I can finally get my projects finished!

My '78 is running stock springs. 1" zero rate blocks on the front. 2" blocks on the rear. 3-4" lift shocks. 4" lift brake lines. 2" drop pitman arm. No front swaybar. Slightly modified front fenders, and 33's.

Hey that looks good!
I have a set of 37s I'm trying to jam under it so I'm thinking at least a 3" lift and cutting will be needed

Maybe I am wrong, but I would think that you will want to move the front axle ahead some as well. Just in case the firewall becomes the point of contact for the tires

I have a different set of 2" lift springs.

You want em? I'll be down Salt Lake way in 2 weeks

The springs I got I kind of wanna keep but the 2" ones I already have are of unknown origin might be awesome might not be
Let me know if or when they are coming through slc. I would take the 2" springs or any 4" springs anyone has

So in keeping true with its name this truck is giving me a hard time.

I found a tailgate for it and and it painted and installed. It fits like crap, and the new hood kinda fits like crap. It has been at the body shop over a month when he quoted me 4 days.... I'm pissed.
I kept the stock tailgate and I'm going to see if ANOTHER body shop can do some rust repair, if so I'll eventually put it back on and likely do a color change on the truck. What a pain in the ass....

Frustrating as hell....
It makes it hard to make things right in a build when you constantly run into this stuff.

Got it back, looks bad, brand new starter is broken and brand new temp gauge is broken..... I'm pissed. But I don't care I have to much shit to get done before bb17, I'll deal with the little things after
