I think if it was a newer square that didn't have round eyes option C would be a good match but the regular cowl hood would look best IMHO. It's your rig though! On a side note... I've always loved cowl hoods and to be honest it amazes me that they never got old!
Yup lucky me I have the big round headlights. are you currently running a cowl ? do you have pics? I can't tell fromg the tiny thumbnail on my phone

Someone said they can cause a visability issue??? have you noticed any difference?
Does it keep the engine any cooler?
How does it fit?
And finally, where did you get it?

No on D

Stack some stuff 4/6 inches high in the middle of your hood. See what you think about looking around it. Seat height makes a difference.

Visibility isn't a problem. Sitting in the driver seat the right edge of the cowl isn't up much/if any higher than the top of the passenger fender in your line of sight. Mine is a camper special with a giant 4 core radiator so I wouldn't really know if it keeps it cooler but it seems like it would have to vent heat pretty well? It defrosts my windshield really good and blows the snow off. Mine came with the truck. It's a fiberglass hood so the fitment kind of sucks right now but I'm going to do some work on it before I put it back on and eventually I'll get a steel hood.

Interesting Idea, I am looking at a 2" cowl, do you think Id really need to stack something 4/6" high to test it? its to bad i dont know any local guys with the cowl hood. I wish i could sit in a truck with one and just see what its like. I think I am torn between option B classic 2" cowl and option C the factory look....

Two inch on that big of a truck isnt going to show much. Any time I have thought about a cowl inducted Hood it was a 4 inch.

Build a box or something that is 2 inches tall stick it up there. Then do a 4 inch and see which one you like.
I can definitely say I want smaller so I don't think I'd do larger than the 2" I like subtle differences , like I shaved my door locks but I left the handles.

anythign but A, thats horrible and dated.
Are you saying the classic cowl is dated? or the one I originally posted as option A?

Original A. https://m.summitracing.com/parts/kpt-0850-036
New A (Classic Cowl). https://m.summitracing.com/parts/amd-300-4073-2

So your vote would be stick with stock?

I am starting to lean towards just a factory look and keeping it stock but I am still undecided. I'm hoping to figure it out by black friday so i can take advantage of any sales places may have on parts.

sorry, the old A with the weird cowl with vents and stuff, if you were building a period correct for the 80's show truck itd be perfect however lol

i like cowl hoods, but just classic style. go with basic cowl or stock
