Thanks! That's what I figured. I want to say my leaf bushings in the front are the same way, he said he needs a press to throw those in and I'm calling B.S. I swear I put those in my tuff country front springs by hand or with a hammer...

Press to get the old ones out.

You don't need a press for them.

The bushings in the frame should push out with a BFH pretty easily.

For the leaf bushings it can vary, but if they're in there pretty good you can melt them with a torch and push them out. If there's a sleeve you can cut those out with saw zaw and punch those out too.

I've also heard of guys using a ball joint clamp like this.

I prefer to drill out the rubber on the oem style and then take the steel sleeve out with and air chisel or cut it with a hacksaw at the seam in the spring eye and drive it out. Burning rubber is too stinky! If you already have poly bushings and they are just worn out then its super easy to just remove and install. Make sure to lube so no annoying squeaks later.

These are after market tuff country springs with their poly bushings. I'm pretty sure they don't have a sleeve you just lube them and force them in. I also think they come out easy. But I could be wrong. Last time I installed tuff country springs was over 10 years ago.

yep, those should knock out easier then.

Hahaha well when one guy relays info to another guy things get messed up. I asked to have the shop do my frame bushings and I supplied them.... then I get a text telling me they are the wrong size.... they had pulled out the spring bushings and stopped completely ignoring the frame bushings.
It's all good I had just picked up a brand new bushing kit from tuff country. I ran by the shop and showed them what was going on, then my buddy who's shop it is showed up and he said he would help me today and i can use his shop after hours to do a couple other things like the off-road design steering brace and a handful of other things that would be nice to do standing up.
Can't wait to throw in all the new bushings and see if that helps. Today he is going through the king pins, hopefully he finds answers.

It wouldn't be my post if I didn't let you guys know the king pins seem fine, all bushings are replaced and o got that steering brace installed and the shake is 100% the same.... since nobody feels anything in the wheel we are going to dive back into the rear end.

I should also tell you that my '70 shorty, the one in my avatar, has the name of SC.
It's short for "red-headed step child" ....
I feel your frustration as I got a battle from that truck too!

So my .02, has to be in the rear axle. Nothing left. Did it while the rear shaft was off. Did it after changing tires. Front end it good now still does it. Your only constant left is the rear axle.

My thoughts exactly. He is going to brace the rear end up off the ground and run it to 70 and see what happens. Hopefully answers coming soon

Be careful doing that cuz if it gets moving and comes off you better get it on video! Maybe bent axle shaft or something in the diff.

Something else I noticed is the rear tires look like I was driving on slickrock. Not sure if it's because of the locker or the shaking. The fronts look great All 100 miles they might have on them.

Is the truck tracking, or one axle or side forward more than the other?

OH MY GOD.... my friends shop tore my pike of shit apart checked everything inside and out he has torn into it can't find anything....

I call les Schwab just to see if the tech had any notes on my wheels, (just for shits) turns out those mother f-ers didn't balance my new tires and to top it off..... They didn't pull off the 4oz of old weights from my swampers..... are you f-ing kidding me..... not only are they not balanced but they have 4oz slugs swinging around...
