So my .02 from a bit of experience, sort of.

Get the A/C done and then stop. Your Blazer it rather nice, you are headed down the path to the dark side. Buy that other one and turn it into a buggy of sorts. Then turn yours into a rig that can tow it well, by stealing the true wheeling parts off of yours aka big tires, lift? and stuff.

Had my for-sight been better I would have left Twinkie as she was fixed a bunch of non working little things and then built a four seat or so, buggy. I did how ever make the decision when I even had another one to do it to. When in reality I could have built a really nice seven passenger tow rig and a cool buggy at the same time. Now I have a rather nice, not square body tow rig and a nice buggy of sorts, just went about it the path of the dark side.

You are right on track with what I'm thinking.

This one is getting fuel injection and AC and possibly gearing, this is my around town, light trails, towing rig, I want comfort and new tech on it.

I will get a beater that I can hack up and flat tow like a jeep behind this one. I have lots of spare parts that I could stick on a buggy. I'm actively looking for a decent and CHEAP base vehicle to chop up.

Gentlemen,
I did a thing, I purchased a smasher blazer today. I'm not a rich dude but I wanted something ugly I could really smash and not stress. I also purchased this truck as a plan B for one of the greatest dudes I know. He wants to go to blazer bash 2017 so bad but I'm not sure if we will have his rig finished in time. If it's not I'll give him the keys (no he does not know another member and I will be doing this) so he can make it. With that said I'm looking for ideas and parts to make this basic moab ready for bb17. It only has 10 bolt axles but a locker would be awesome and a set of 35s or 33s with cutting and maybe a baby lift. Think cheap must haves.
Ideas ?
Suggestions?
I'll start a build thread called plan B if there isn't already one with that name.

Let's get this awesome anonymous guy to BB17 he deserves it.

But he's a virgin!

It's unmolested stock tbi with ac. If it wasn't so rusted and dented underneath it would be a prime candidate for restoration. The interior is an 8/10. But most importantly I STOLE it, so I don't feel bad about rubbing it on rocks.

pull off running boards

I know somebody who has a set of lift springs for that.

If you wouldn't mind asking what they want and what size. Eventually this will get the long spring kit front and rear so it actually flexes unlike nightmare lol

I have a different set of 2" lift springs.

You want em? I'll be down Salt Lake way in 2 weeks

The springs I got I kind of wanna keep but the 2" ones I already have are of unknown origin might be awesome might not be

@72gmck5 thoughts on 2" springs I'd say much better than stock. And I won't have to mess with drivelines yet,

Weird this thing did not leak at all even after sitting for a few hours then this morning I woke up to a steady drip. I think the hose is a little lose or something, worst case maybe a water pump or hose. No worries though it's all cheap and easy, :)

@Phil513 has a fairly basic blazer and it did good last year at Blazer Bash. I think he just has a 4" lift and 35s and some kind of locker out back. @500$k5 has a low lift locked up one that goes everywhere also.

Yup I remember seeing that. Id like to do a little something before bb17 for as cheap as possible because these parts will be taken off as the real parts accumulate
Maybe it's scared of what you have planned, and so the tears came out. ..

:haha:
Lol I love It! I am way excited to go pretty extreme on this one.

Yup, very basic. 10 bolts front and rear, still have 3:42 gears. 4" and 35's with a rear spartan locker.

It did fine, but I didn't push it very hard either.
