I have one even better. My 2006 volvo is also in the shop (the volvo dealership so different shop). The wiper motor burned up (if the dealer fixes it it has a lifetime warranty on parts and labor)
I have no wipers except the rear won't turn off. I trouble shot it and found on my forum it's very common and it's the front motor burning out that's tripping out the rear,
Anyways rather than replace the motor like I asked their tech did 4 hours of diag to tell me it was a bad motor and what he suggested is I "live with it broken because it's expensive to fix... Like $900" stupid ****er literally told me to live with non functioning wipers on my daily.....
Anyways no I'm not paying for the diag and they are fixing it much cheaper than that but I may trade it in on a new car.

They are fixing it today. I did something bitchy and typed up instructions and labels. They literally can't mess it up.

Same shop forgot to put the washers on half my body mounts so it was leaning to one side. They are also fixing that....

They have 4 "ase master techs" but they can't do simple things sometimes :(

That's cuz the "simple" jobs go to the dumbass that makes the least, I've seen many horrible certified techs too though. No body gives a shit about their reputation as a tech or the quality of their work. Especially flat rate techs that just want to kick shit out the door as fast as they can. It makes all of us mechanics look like shit as a whole.

Not to jump on other mechanics too badly but ASE certified doesn't mean anything to me. after having multiple ASE certified guys tell me what I can and can't do I've lost respect for it. Apparently having a piece of paper that says so makes you an expert.

(Rant over)

What spark plugs would you guys run in this thing? I'm considering running ngk 7052. I want to change the plugs because I know my carburetor was running extremely rich and I want a new baseline for the new efi.

Well shit. I think with my condenser and giant trans cooler my truck isn't getting enough flow and it will overheat. I took a 30 min drive in traffic it hit 220

Was the A/C on?
Is the Fitech making it a hair too lean?
Just wondering what all has changed.

It was doing it with the carb pre fitech yes the ac was on this time. But it's been running warmer since I added the condenser

Ahh, so I take it that you have a standard, (as far as size) radiator?

So , yes it sounds like you need to get something bigger. The factory stuff all got a 4 row with A/C. ( as far as I know)

Just my opinion here, but I put a "BeCool" one in my '70 years ago, and didn't have good results due to it leaking often.... I got rid of it..
