I'd put the fan behind, but I'm not sure a huge difference will be made .

Also might fit better one way or the other.

I think I might stack the coolers and daisy chain them

I normally see auxiliary coolers setup as pushers, not sure if it makes a difference though.

Found another issue, not naming names again but same person gave me a link to order thi s part lol... So glad I purchased an extra sending unit as a backup for pb and nightmare.... Still think I'll stick in the walbro 255 just for kicks.

Found my issue with my fuel pump...
I'm not going to name names but somebody opted to use the plastic clips that came with the pump. They failed and my tube was bairly holding on to the full tube and was for sure leaking
That's good though, easy fix once it's out. Keep that pump as a spare

Those of you running an upgraded alternator, did you upgrade your wiring? If I did the upgrade I was thinking of doing a 4 gauge wire from the alt to the battery and leaving the stock wire on also.

Install went well, got it running, took a shower went to test drive now I have no tac signal... I checked my connections and they seem fine... now what?

No tach signal... fought it for 4 hours checked everything then started playing with settings. If I switch from tach to 2 wire and save it it starts and runs. Then I shut it off and it won't start until I go in and switch the settings again.
Back and forth back and forth.... think it has a bug

I'll call tuesday and see what fitech says.

I have some results from the old style fan.... hit a max of 206 on the freeway but liked 195 to 203

City 213 and climbing .... wtf

When I turned off the ac my city was 190 solid.

I think the fans are a wash, the windstar keeps it cooler in the city with the ac.

I was told to try shutting off the fans on the freeway so they don't restrict air... discuss...

I feel your pain on the cooling issues. I can't help to think there is some simple thing going on here. But making multiple changes at one time has you chasing your tail. Try just doing one thing. Drive it, see what it does then if it didn't help try the next thing.

Having followed the last week of your cooling wores, I don't remember seeing anything about adding something to the coolant to aid the issue. Water wetter might help and get you the last few to 10 degrees off your temp. It breaks the surface tension and can make the cooling system work a little better.

So if you do turn off the fans on the freeway and it runs cooler that answers the question as to whether or not it has to much air restriction.
