If those collector flanges are bent you may just want to swap them out for ball and socket style collectors. If you think they'll seal as is, add a flex section just past the collector.

Is it having a hard time starting?

It would fire up fine but run like crap until I rev it up past 2k for a little bit I think it was getting to much fuel on cold start/run and I'd put money on that being why I fouled plugs

It felt exactly like a shitty carb would in the winter. You rev it up and you could hear it smooth out as you hold it at 2k rpm

ah..... the ZZ502 did the same shit when we first installed FiTech on it. We actually had to give it throttle to start it.

In his case it was the IAC steps was way out of wack.

My IAC warm sit at 8-10. I thought the same thing. it really only acts stupid when its cold especially under 50 degrees. thats also when i was seeing my afrs averaging 12. once this thing is warm it idles well and starts just fine. i have new plugs i got the ngk plugs again im wondering if i should gap differently . i set them at 45 last time.

just copper plugs right? 45 should be fine.

I don't see the 12sh AFR as an issue once it's running, it should be running fat when it's cold. However if it's giving too much cranking fuel I could see it bogging down until it's cleared out.

Is your prime fuel multiplier been messed with at all? I would start by dropping that by 100 and see what it does. Some people have gone as far as negative with that adjustment.

Keep in mind this multiplier is across the board (warm and cold starts) so you may need to add some fuel back in on the crank fuel (warm) settings later.

I will mess with it. As of now I haven't touched it

drop it and let me know what it does.

I actually think I need to increase mine on my truck as it takes a second or two longer to fire when it's cold.

@skunked are you on the fitech owners group on fb? If so I posted 2 logs today look for Joey my pic is a picture of a pitty with a baby pic

So I sent fitech a message clear back when it first started running bad and today they finally got back to me with a message saying, "try this firmware update" they said it has more features and better tables. Shit it's worth a shot. The only bummer is if I do the update I'll have to start from scratch with my settings and learning

saw this pop and remembered I forgot to respond yesterday. I looked over your tables posted on bookface and I don't see much glaring out as an issue however I have limited knowledge about real tuning. I do see your pump % is a little higher than what I've noticed others, also does the spark advance always show even though it should be disabled? I could export my tables if you want to see what my truck does as an example.

I would have no problem blowing out the software/settings and starting over in your shoes.

Since I'm using a 255 walbro i was told i needed to set my pw to 100% because it doesnt like the pulse. i wonder if thats actually an issue, maybe i'm pushing it to hard all the time and stressing the regulator? i need to ask fitech directly. and yes it still shows timing advance even if disabled. weird i know.

It's just weird because I don't see anything in the AF's showing it to be running rich like you say it is.

My point is that it should be running fine during that log and it's not right?
It was running ok but not great.

I did the update and it's a new machine. I set my idle target afr to 14.2 and took 10 out of each warm up I did a new data log. It's humming along nicely. I almost regret buying ignition stuff because I don't think I need it. I'll put some miles on it but it's not acting stupid anymore
