Burnt burb resurrection (It's mine again!)

They were 1.5. but I got them from another member on here. TREA18. you could pm him to see where he got them.

Dammit, I'm a bit tempted by spacers now.
Go for it, i put spacers on my Jimmy. And it won't be long and the Blazer will have them also. Got mine off e-bay for around $70.00 shipped iirc, seemed well machined and no probs so far. Used red Loctite on the threads for the spacers, and i've checked mine often and they have yet to loosen up :waytogo:.

Steel I take it? Did they use the same thread and size wheel studs as OEM?

No these were aluminum, and yes on the thread size. Now the length of your axle studs could be an issue they had a minimum recomendation for length but i can't remember for sure what that was, i think 3/4 of an inch or 1 inch for the stud that holds the spacer on. To short and you will not have enough thread engagement, to long and stud will hit the rim.

The Al spacers make me nervous. But keeping an eye out for a deal on steel ones, want to get my track width out to even.

Looks good!

on a hard core rock rig the aluminum ones would be a little sketchy maybe? but for a mild wheeling road rig they are tried and true. the only inconvenience is you have to install them, drive 50-100mi, pull the wheel and retorque them, drive another 50-100mi, then retorque the wheels. once thats done your golden and should never have to look at them again.

Kind of a hassle at first but pulling a wheel aint hard and doesnt take long so I dont mind.

Got a few quik ones, Couldnt get a front veiw. will get them later today maybe

I don't like the idea of Al spacers, but really...my rims are aluminum. So what do i know:haha:

Got a couple from the front finally. I also have ran 3 bottles of seafoam through it in the last week. 2 in the tank and one down the tbi. I dont know if I can tell a difference or not:dunno: I know in the effort to feel a difference I realized how good it sounds again, so I havent been able to keep my foot out of it yet:rolleyes: It does seem to run a touch smoother, but that may be a hallucination too. Man I love my truck though.

Edit: I GOTTA fix that grille:doah:

How much gas was in the tank when you added the sea foam?

How did you run it down the TBI?

I normally measure its effectiveness by how much black $hit gets spit out of the exhaust. When i first did my blazer, it puked black for about 30 min after letting it sit in the intake for a while.

My burb doesn't burn off much anymore when i do the whole sea-foam treatment, which makes me think it is pretty clean.

Tons of hard core toyotas out there running aluminum spacers, yes they are lighter but there are a whole lotta guys I know running toys and 40s on heavy beadlock rims with insanely low gearing.

I'm guessing about 20 gallons each time. And I just parked it and poured it right into the tbi a little on each side till the bottle was gone. I killed it on purpose once and let it sit for about 5 min. then restarted and kept pouring it down the tbi

Decided to check my timing cause I was bored. Found out that it was 2* retarded:doah: I heard on here that some guys set theres at 2* advanced, so thats where mines at now. I hope it runs better, not that it ran bad. Might pick up a mpg or 2 also. Now that I could handle:D

It deffinately has an improvement in the butt dyno category. we'll see how it does on the highway. Could have been better at maybe 1* btdc:dunno:

It DID start better at around 6, which was the first place it was after loosening and advancing it:thinking: . I may use the search feature to look into others settings more. I always just heard people say a "couple" or "a few" degrees advanced so I assumed 2-3.
